Raises and benefits based upon benchmark skills achievement Full Season: March-December (Part-time winter hours available for Full Season employees) Desired Qualities 1 year related experience or personally motivated to farm teachable, alert to surroundings, able to follow instructions passionate, dedicated and hard-working punctual, reliable, and flexible high level of attention to detail honest, positive, and respectful ready and able to work in a variety of conditions Production Manager Seeking a highly organized and passionate Production Manager to help oversee daily operations, lead the crew, and ensure the success of Tempel Farms Organics Key Responsibilities: Crew Leadership: Assist in managing a team of farm workers, including delegating tasks, providing training, and ensuring productivity. Field Operations: Oversee planting, cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling to maintain quality standards. Equipment and Infrastructure: Assist with the maintenance and operation of farm equipment, irrigation systems, and infrastructure. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of field activities, crop performance, and inventory. Problem-Solving: Address challenges as they arise and provide practical solutions. Communication: Act as a bridge between the Farm Manager and the crew, ensuring clear communication of tasks and goals. Qualifications: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in farming or a related agricultural field; extensive experience in organic farming strongly preferred. Proven leadership experience, such as managing teams of 5+ workers or leading seasonal crews. Expertise in crop planning, pest management, soil health, and post-harvest handling techniques. Proficiency in operating and maintaining farm equipment such as tractors, irrigation systems, and hand tools; mechanical troubleshooting skills are highly desirable. Strong organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
